Guru Chalisa
The Guru Chalisa is a 40-verse hymn to Lord Brihaspati (Jupiter), the divine teacher of the gods. Recited on Thursdays during Guru Mahadasha or weak Jupiter periods, it is a cornerstone Vedic astrology remedy for wisdom, prosperity, and spiritual guidance.

About Guru Chalisa
Guru Chalisa is one of the most revered devotional hymns in the Hindu tradition, dedicated to Lord Brihaspati (Jupiter). Recited by millions of devotees, it invokes divine grace, mental steadiness, and protection from negative influences.
- Planetary Remedy for Jupiter (Guru): In Vedic astrology, this hymn is widely recommended during Jupiter (Guru) Mahadasha, Antardasha, or challenging transits to harmonize planetary energy and reduce karmic pressure.
Benefits of Recitation
- Strengthens weak or afflicted Jupiter in the birth chart
- Grants wisdom, education, progeny, and dharmic prosperity
- Removes Guru dosha and obstacles in marriage and career
- Traditionally recited on Thursday with yellow flowers and chana dal offerings
Best Time and Method
Recite on Thursday (Guru's day), ideally at sunrise. Offer yellow flowers, turmeric, chana dal, and light a ghee lamp. Regular Thursday recitation during Guru Mahadasha is especially auspicious.
Astrological Significance
Regular recitation aligns the mind with dharmic discipline — the foundation of all Vedic remedies. Pair this practice with honest conduct, seva (selfless service), and consistency rather than fear-based ritual alone.
