The Bajrang Baan is an incredibly potent, targeted prayer of invocation composed by Goswami Tulsidas. While the Hanuman Chalisa is generally recited for daily peace and spiritual growth, the Bajrang Baan is traditionally used for resolving intense crises, overcoming deep-seated fears, and breaking through heavy spiritual/karmic blockages.

Astrological Significance of Bajrang Baan

  • Saturn (Shani) and Mars (Mangal) Protection: Like the Chalisa, this prayer is highly recommended for people experiencing difficult transits of Saturn (Sade Sati, Dhaiya) or Mars (Manglik conditions), particularly when they manifest as unexpected accidents, enemies, or severe blockages.
  • Beej Mantra Power: The Bajrang Baan incorporates direct seed (Beej) mantras (e.g. Om Hanu Hanu, Hrim Hrim, Hum Hum) which vibrate at a high frequency to purify the surroundings and establish a protective boundary.

Crucial Guidelines for Reciting

  • Recite with Reverence: Because this prayer uses a shapath (solemn oath in the name of Lord Rama) to demand Hanuman's protection, it should always be recited with absolute purity of intent, devotion, and never for malicious purposes.
  • Auspicious Days: Tuesdays and Saturdays are best. Light a ghee lamp, sit on a clean mat, and focus fully on Lord Hanuman.
